Revolver Proect Vintage Clothing Ireland

Hi Guys,

This is just a shoot a did a while back for the Autumn/Winter collection from the vintage clothing specialists Revolver Project.

About Revolver Project:

Housed above the cobbled streets of Smithfield, Ireland, Revolver Project is a contemporary company with a love of vintage fashion. We feel that the traditional vintage shopping experience is a thing of the past, and propose a modern solution. Spending hours rummaging through crowded rails in musty second-hand stores is no longer necessary. Our team of buyers and stylists work hard to hand-pick only the most stylish and highest quality garments from our selected wholesalers, allowing your shopping experience to be swift, easy, and luxurious. In line with the Revolver Project ethos of sustainability, your order will come delivered in crisp, recycled paper packaging. This is twentieth-century fashion for the twenty-first century customer.

Behind the Scenes: Fatcheese bodypainting with Nadia Forde

Today I was lucky enough to be outside in the sunshine for a Photocall for fatcheese.ie. Myself and my assistant Stefania turned Nadia Forde into a stylised version of cheese. Why turn a gorgeous Irish Model into cheese you say? :-)

It is all to announce that they have given over €250,000 cash back to @FatcheeseIE members since they started!!

Here are some behind the scenes snaps:

BT Young Scientist 2012 – Photocall

Here are some shots from a recent PR Photoshoot that I did for the BT Young Scientist Competition 2012. I got to paint the girls like half bionic people. Bodypainting is my favourite kind of work and I wish I could do this every day :-)

PR Bodypainting: Sony Ericsson

On Facebook recently, I already talked about the Photo Call I did recently for Sony Ericsson which went out in the Evening Herald and The Metro Newspapers.  I thought I would just share a little video. It is just an experiment really, thinking about getting into doing some videos for the blog in the future, so watch this space…

Behind the Scenes: Charity Bodypainting

I was asked to do a high profile quiz event in Clontarf Castle last Thursday.  The event was in aid of the charity “To Russia With Love” to raise much needed funds.

Here are some behind the scenes photographs, some professional shots will follow soon. The model was David Mulqueen a personal trainer/director from The Edge Clontarf, a personal training facility based in Clontarf. I am no expert, but I think he might be good at his job if his abs are anything to go by.

Boudoir Dressing Service

I have  been talking to a few people in the Transgender/Cross Dressing Community of late and there seems to be a real need for a make-over service similar to The Boudoir Dressing Service in London theboudoironline.com

This is something that I would love to do, so if there is anyone out there that needs help and advice with creating your perfect look, please get in touch. I can do the Make-Over for you, teach you the skills so you can do it yourself, help with shopping and wigs etc.

Here is a photoshoot that I did with Damien recently…I helped him transform into Roxy :)

Alternative Photoshoot

Did a photoshoot with the talented Phantom FM Radio Presenter Laura Lee-Conway. We headed out to the IFSC to do an alternative photoshoot. It was good fun except for at one stage poor Laura was groped by an over eagre teenager from the area, it was pretty funny! If she wasn’t in so much shock I am sure he would have got a smack :)

Photoshoot: Alice Collins Textile Artist

I did the makeup for a photoshoot a couple of months ago for a really good friend of mine Alice Collins. She is a talented and creative textile artist based in Dublin. She also handmakes a range of unique jewellery and accessories.

These images are of dresses that she made as part of a work of art. It is an attempt to address the emotional and physical trauma suffered by Irish women under the lawless ‘care’ of Dr. Michael Neary in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda during the 1980s and 90s.

Just incase you don’t know who he is, here is a link to an RTE Article and a brief synopsis from Wikipedia below:

“Michael Neary is a retired Irish consultant obstetrician/gynaecologist. He gained notoriety when it was discovered that he had performed what was considered an inordinate number of cesarean hysterectomies during his time at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, County Louth. He was suspended by the Irish Medical Council in 1999 pending their investigations, and then struck off the Register of Medical Practitioners in 2003.”

Photoshoot with Model Georgie

Did a photoshoot on Friday with a whole host of talented people. There was 4 hours to do about 6 different make-up and hair looks and get them photographed. It was a really fun day, but it got a bit frantic at times!
