As you might have seen on twitter I got to do a few Halloween makeups this year. Not as many as in previous years because I have been really busy working on The Savage Eye 3 (will post about that in the future).
I did Tara O’Farrell and Georgia Salpa’s makeup for the Creatures of the Night Photocall for Miller.
It was a sultry scary look that compromised of a black smokey eye, blood red lips, paired with freaky yellow contacts and vampire fangs.
We had hoped that it would hit one or two newspapers, but we lucked out as it made it into the Sun, Metro, Mirror and Star. We even got a front cover!
To create the look I used:
Graftobian HD Airbrush Foundation in Dessert Sand
Contoured with a darker shade airbrush colour
MAC Skin Finish Powder in Dark for additional contouring
MAC Blacktrack Gel Liner
Nars Night Breed Eyeshadow
Rimmel Black Eyeliner on the lips
Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Red
Lancome Hypnose Mascara in Black
This was a shoot that appeared in the Irish Times last Saturday that I did. It was shot on location at Carton House, one of the loveliest venues in Ireland for a photoshoot!
The theme was vintage debs, with alot of our inspiration coming from the 1920s. I will do another post with the actual photographs where I will explain what make-up I used.

This was some facepainting that I did a couple of months ago for the Fruit Pastilles Sours launch, back when it was actually sunny! Used Kryolan Aquacolors and some MAC Glitter Pigments.
This is a shoot that I did a while back. The concept was something ancient and Egyptian. I had to start by painting Azaria all over with a bronzed brown from Kryolan, you wouldn’t believe it from this picture, but she is actually Caucasian!
I then handpainted all the hieroglyphics and the make up. As you can imagine this took aaages, because each one had to have its own shadow/highlight to really make it pop. I think it was worth the effort though as it turned out quite well.
Sometimes keeping it simple can be so beautiful don’t you think? I really want to do more shots like this where the make-up is subtle and pretty. What do you prefer?
